![]() God asked them if they had eaten of the fruit. They were undoubtedly expecting God to come visit them because they were hiding after they had disobeyed Him.Īlthough they had previously been unaware of their nakedness, now they realized their condition. We know this because after Adam and Eve had eaten of the fruit from the forbidden tree, God came to the Garden looking for them in the evening. God had provided everything man needed or wanted including fellowship with him. “Do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil for when you do, you shall die. ![]() There was one rule in this heaven on earth creation. So God caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam, He took a rib from Adam’s side and created a woman, who was named Eve. “And the man gave names to all the livestock, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable (a companion) for him. One thing was missing, Adam did not have a help meet, a helper. God gave man authority over all of His creation, and He gave him work to do. It was to be a place of plenty, a place of peace, nothing missing, nothing broken. This Garden was to be God’s heaven on earth for mankind. So the LORD God took the man and settled him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it. 28 And God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.” God gave man dominion and work to do in this earthly kingdom He had created.Īnd the LORD God planted a garden (oasis) in the east, in Eden (delight, land of happiness) and He put the man whom He had formed (created) there. Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.”27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him male and female He created them. This is where we will begin to understand God’s plan for man. So, Relationship, Obedience, Work/Purpose, and Provision are the four themes that we will see as we look to the scriptures. He will provide for us as citizens of His kingdom. ![]() He wants a close relationship and fellowship with us. If I were to summarize this plan, it would be with 4 words that express God’s plan for man. All that He created is designed to be what He wants. His ways and desires are the Kingdom laws. We are a part of what God wants and He wants us in his kingdom with certain conditions. We must realize God’s plan is just that, His plan. We will learn that God’s plan for man existed even before man or before any of us were conceived or born. In this search of the scriptures, there will be a consistent theme which begins in Genesis.
